Basmah has been working with Insaan since 2016. Her roles have evolved across a range of competencies including branding, design, reporting, social media lead, outreach marketing lead, website design and maintenance, and more recently, Impact Researcher, focused on the inclusion of AI in Insaan processes.

Previously, she has supported efforts of media companies entering the Saudi market and served as an Academic and Administrative Assistant at Effat University, Saudi Arabia.

She was awarded internships at the Royal Embassy of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Paris, France and at the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Basmah holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Zayed University, UAE, with a de facto focus in Computer Science and Communication and Media Sciences. She also holds a diploma in photography and digital film-making from New York Film Academy, USA, and a degree in English Language from Umm Al-Qura University, Saudi Arabia.
