Anne-Cécile Robert is the Deputy Director of Le Monde diplomatique. She is a French journalist with a particular focus on international organisations, including the European Union, and Africa and holds positions on both the editorial board and the management board of the publication.

 As the head of the Africa section, Anne-Cécile Robert leads Le Monde diplomatique’s coverage of African affairs. She has authored several reports on the continent, drawing on her extensive fieldwork and study trips to countries such as Senegal, Mali, Burkina Faso, Rwanda, Ethiopia, and Zambia. Her publications on Africa include: L’Afrique au secours de l’Occident (2004), Afriques: Années Zéro (2008), co-authored with Jean-Christophe Servant, and Le défi de la paix (2024).

 Anne-Cécile Robert is actively involved in organisations dedicated to international affairs. She lectures at the Institut de Relations Internationales et Stratégiques (IRIS), Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas University, and the Institute of European Studies of the Université Paris-VIII. She holds a PhD in European Union law.
